OMG I was making a funny sarcasm non sequitur because i am stuck in a mind thing and it's like how in C a pointer to a var is also a pointer to an array of that var. everything is the archetype of a series of itselfs.

but also you can ignore that and just treat the pointer to a var as a scalar.

which is kind what the word scalar means in both things i just ramble roboted about above.
