Much of the development work I have done has been in integrating diverse systems and technology stacks. This includes interacting with people at different skill levels and technical aptitude.

Career Progression

Worked on a CMDB application for a large managed service provider. The system orchestrated and consolidated data about internal and external computer systems and their status. This application integrated with all manner of systems including ServiceNow and LogicMonitor to catalog and monitor the capabilities of arrays of computer systems. One aspect of this tool was to report the status of IT systems to customers.

After being successful on the CMDB team I was moved to a new team to develop an AI assistant tool. This was developed in Python on Azure (Microsoft) cloud resources, including OpenAI. We developed a document ingestion pipeline to allow the OpenAI LLM to the capability to answer questions with company specific knowledge (RAG). I was the lead developer on this team, mentoring junior developers and working closely with them. This product was successfully deployed.

Next I was moved to a new AI team to implement agents to have LLM/AI do things directly. I learned about langgraph and using multiple LLM/AI nodes to solve domain specific issues and then orchestrate them using graphs.

Promotion. As I gained responsibilities and my duties became more technical, I was promoted to Data Analyst.

Oversaw and maintained UPC Management under direction of operations management, (add/edit/eliminate products within POS system). Created customer and vendor orders in POS system. Provided reporting for customer orders status using the POS system. Identified and implemented process improvements. Provided excellent support for sales and management.

In May 2021 the IT Manager left, and I successfully ran the department being the de facto manager. No duties were dropped and no deadlines were missed. I took on new high priority responsibilities like consolidating the quarterly inventory totals and reports. When the new manager came on I trained them, and helped them succeed.

Programming and code strategist utilizing Vanilla Java for Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) systems within the Talent Management division of ADP.

• Programming Process Improvements: Developed and implemented virus detection processes site-wide on all uploaded and downloaded documents through ClamAV servers, reducing system infections department-wide.
• Work Process Efficiency: Built series of back-end scheduling functions that has reduced employee labor efforts through automation of previously manual processes.
• Reporting Development: Designed and executed customized dynamic reports that generate based on end-user filtering. Conceptualized enhanced background processing methods that reduce impacts of large reporting needs on systems performance, reducing downtime and outages.

Spearheaded programming and coding processes that supported a Social Commerce Deal platform web startup company.

• Website Enhancements: Employed CakePHP and Ruby on Rails frameworks which resulted in enhanced website performance during tech start up phases.

Re-engineered traffic management and safety company web site and internal technology processes to align new business development and growth initiatives.

• E-Commerce Platform Development: Created online product store platform in Django/Python and integrated a large legacy SQL Server database.
• Website Creation: Implemented CodeIgniter/PHP to plan and write company website, which led to an increase of 100% in website traffic.
• Server Support: Set-up,configured, and managed Lighttpd on Slackware Linux web servers, mitigating systems down time.

Provided technical leadership in programming and coding to support the efforts of a technology media company and its advertising efforts. Employed usage of Struts as well as Java web stack technologies.
